TERRE ROCHE has been transposing intimate perception into lyric and melody for decades. Her unique twists of irony, wit and guitar ingenuity entertain, provoke, and illuminate. Terre's new album,‘Inner Adult’ is the splendid result of pandemic, and post-pandemic, self-examination.

The tracks of ‘Inner Adult’ emanate from Terre's not one -- but two -- seemingly opposite habitations. In her words….

"I wrote these songs during a four year period, from March 2020 through September 2023. Two were written on Manhattan island where I was born. Ten were written on the island od St.John, VI, where I learned to swim. And one was written years ago but makes more sense to me now. Between these two places I've been blessed. In New York from the fortieth floor, I look out on the man made miracle of midtown Manhattan, where the lights take the place of stars. On St. John the night sky is crowded with billions of real stars. From my place high on a hill I wake to the sun on the horizon peeking out across the sea. I had lots of space to write, often going days without encountering a person."
