City Winery NYC Presents Kara Arena live in concert on January 4th at 7:30pm

Kara Arena, New York based actor and singer-songwriter, offers a night of ethereal Folk music accompanied by some of her favorite musicians Joe Cilento, Mae Roney, and Thomas Kuklenski. She was last seen performing Off-Broadway in Islander, a two-hander, a cappella, Folk musical that originated in the UK. Kara’s sound immediately recalls the Folk music of the 60’s and 70’s mixed with a love of traditional Celtic music. Her writing is influenced by the poetry of Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and Rickie Lee Jones and inspired by the sounds and movements of nature. Kara is honored to share the stage with, Joe Cilento, her collaborator and the mixing engineer on her album “Something Blue” (available on all streaming platforms).

Joe Cilento is a musician, composer, and music producer who is thrilled to be playing with Kara tonight along side some incredible musicians! His interest in music started as a young guitar player but that quickly grew into a driving passion that brought him to study at Berklee in Boston, MA. Since graduating he has lived and worked across the US finally settling in NYC where he splits his time playing live music, producing studio albums, and educating emerging musicians.
